MOOC - Massive Open Online Course

Another "Project" is my current interest in MOOCs. I think MOOCs do offer a fantastic opportunity for the whole mass of internet users to get information and education they didn't have access to before. There always were ways for all people to get some additional education through courses at the local adult education center, paid course providers, TV/radio programs - but there was never the opportunity to participate in courses of over 560 universities in classes of > 50.000 people with the ability to post questions to and get a response from "all" of them. Currently, I'm exploring this opportunity with some topics I want to learn, some I want to increase my knowledge and some just for fun or to get an idea of the quality of the courses a provider does offer and how the tests are done.
